1976 medical director of the Budapest Spas and Thermal Waters Co.,
director of Rheumatological Dept. of the Gellért Spa and Hospital too. From
1973 to 1991 - Hungarian Ministry of Health - deputy director general
at the National Directorate of Health Resorts and Spas at the Ministry.
1991 medical director general of the Danubius Hotels Group and member of the Board of Directors. 1982-1997 president of the Hungarian Balneological Association (now honorary president). Since 1986 vice-president of FEMTEC (World Federation for Balneology and Climatology), and since 1993 first vice-president. 1982 - 1988 he was the vice-president of the Hungarian Rheumatological Association. 1978 - 1988 vice-president of the Social Standing Committee of the European League Against Rheumatism. Elaboration
of professional plans for several Hungarian and foreign
spa-institutions. (Egypt, Great Britain, Iceland, Ireland, Kuwait,
United Arab Emirates etc.) Consultant to the World Tourism
Organisation (WTO) and the UNDP, and as such has carried out surveys on
the situation and possibilities in the spa-industry in several
countries. Elaborated proposals for nationalwide development programs.
(Algeria, Cuba, Iraq, Nepal, Uruguay) 98 scientific publications. Honorary citizen of Palm Springs (USA). Several
Hungarian and foreign professional decorations including the Memorial
Medal of the University of Milan and the Oshima Award and Gold Medal
(Japan). The first Hungarian citizen who got the Icelandic Order of the Falcon, the only Icelandic state decoration (2002). |
